[vet-mm] VET IDM government funding

Hi to all,
Further enquiry reveals that in our case, as an independent school, we get none of the $669 mentioned in the spreadsheet. That money is from the State govt, and is only for state schools.
Apparently the AISV receives a pool of money from the Commonwealth Gov't to cover students, but it has to be divided up amongst all the students in the subject. As enrolments increase the amount per student therefore decreases. Apparently it is currently roughly $200.

Thanks Martin, this includes the VET subjects we are looking for. Our
VET co-ord is asking who we actually ask for the funding. We suspect the
AISV.

Hi James,
You will find the link to the relevant spreadsheet file at the bottom of
this page:
http://www.education.vic.gov.au/sensecyouth/qualsprograms/vet.htm (2nd
last link)
It is a public document.
Amounts are indicative which means they may be adjusted down due to
higher numbers as the pool of funds is limited.
Regards,

Hi Claire,
As per our discussion at the great PD on Friday, do you have the details
for the contact who knows about the funding status per student enrolled
in Cert 3 Media for those of us who are our own RTOs?
(There was a lot of interest in this topic which I have posted this to
the list)
Regards,
James Lawson
