Hi Naim,

To answer some of your questions quickly:

1) There is a session running at VITTA on the new yr 12 course. It's on the Wednesday and is being presented by Jo Trim and Michelle Dennis from PixelEd. PixelEd also hopes to offer a Saturday session on the new Video unit. Details will be sent to the list as soon as finalised. We also plan to run a PD for the new course in Feb next year. VCAA also run an assessment PD early in the year.

2) Yes there will be an exam. Advice on the software was issued by VCAA in August or Sept - see the VCAA Bulletin for that month. (or look at the mailing list archive - link to VCAA documentation has been posted to the list in the last month or so, and you will find further relevant discussions about the new course). Some sample exam questions will be produced by VCAA but not sure when they will come out

3) Yes there will be SACS as there is now. PixelEd will be creating some samples, hopefully out early December

4) Criteria will be the same as now - they are generic criteria for all VET subjects...see the VCAA site. Main difference is we had 5 units assessed via 3 tasks. Now it's 6 units, so 2 units per task. Of the 4 generic types of tasks (folio, product, work project, work performance) you must do at least 2 different types.

5) Please share anything you can, if everyone does this the workload is lighter for us all.

Hope this helps

Hi All,

Will there be any PD on how to deliver next year's VET/VCE Interactive Digital Media course?

All the units are different from the multimedia yr 12 course this year.

Because this unit is offered as a VET and VCE scored subject

Will there be an exam for 2010?

To satisfy the VCE component will there be SAC's involved?

What would the criteria for the SAc's be?

I have managed to semesterise the units and worked out what I'll be teaching and how much time to devote to each unit, (I am willing to share the resources if they allow attachments on this site) but I still have to work on the assessment tasks

Regards
