I might be wrong, but this is how our VD teacher explained it.
I draw this on the white board.
A point is a mark on a page.
A line is the mark that joins two points
Shape is what is made when lines join, squares and triangles shapes.
Form is the shape when it have been given solidity, cubes and pyramids have form.
Tone creates form.
Texture adds realism to form.
Then I add letterform at the end - because it has to exist somewhere.
Scale is when you put a mouse next to an elephant so that you have a reference to size.
Proportion is about the relationship of objects that is aesthetically pleasing, they eyes are in proportion to the face.
Hope that helps

Subject: [vet-mm] Elements and Principles
Ok I might be thick - but was checking out the principles and elements
in the VCAA Contents matrix.
Can someone clarify for me - aren't Form and Shape the same thing, and
aren't Scale and Proportion the same thing as well????
