, but the simplest explanation that I could find:
Movement. A principle of design. Movement is the way in which the
elements of design are organized so that the viewer's eye is led through
the work of art in a systematic way.
http://www.corklike.com/dump/POD.pdf discusses some of that concept in
more detail.
Perspective. A principle of design. A technique for creating the
illusion of depth on a two-dimensional surface.
There are three types of perspective: - linear perspective, which
involves the use of parallel lines that appear to converge as their
distance from the viewer increases; - diminishing perspective, in which
objects appear to diminish in size as their distance from the viewer
increases; - atmospheric perspective, which is produced by the gradual
lessening of the intensity of colour and the reducing of detail as the
distance between an object and the viewer increases.
Again plagiarised from http://www.eslincanada.com/englishlesson10.html
but it does put it well!

Hi Guys,
I was hoping that a generous sole might be able to provide me with a
definition for perspective and movement in terms of visual design.

Hi Glenn,
I won't be recommending paying on the day to those with school
groups as last year was sold-out, but you by yourself should be okay.
Better for most people to book in advance through the VITTA website.
As for the informal meeting afterwards, it will be somewhere in
Lygon Street, Carlton starting around 11.30am, but we are waiting for an
indication of numbers before we choose and book a venue. If you would
like to come without booking or attending the lecture, just drop me an
email and I will get back to you with details closer to the day,
Marian

Marian, I am not sure of my movements on the holidays, I live in
Albury and could combine the Meet the Examiner Lecture - I attended this
2 years ago - with other things in Melbourne.
Questions - can I pay on the day? Can I just attend the informal
meeting afterwards - where and time?

Hi everyone,
I wanted to add that the Meet the Examiner Lecture
(DETAILS below) is designed specifically for your Cert III students to
attend. (Of course, teachers are also very welcome, and many do come.)
PixelEd has deliberately kept the price down to $15 to make it
affordable for all. Feedback from recent years has indicated that
students found Graeme's lecture very valuable in helping them to prepare
for the exam.
Also, if you are teaching the new course next year, you
are very welcome to meet informally, after the lecture, with some of us
who were on the advisory committee when the course was designed. We will
be looking at the new units over a coffee and maybe lunch, at a Lygon
Street venue to be decided ,
Marian
