Hi Jamie,
Typography is still covered.
At Unit 3-4, - CUFDIG304A Create visual design components includes a
performance criteria that says, "Explore range of typographical and
visual design elements to create the components".

Then in the range statement for this unit it spells it out a bit more,
Typographical design elements may include:
* alignment
* fonts and typefaces
* kerning
* leading
* point and size
* serif or sans serif
* tracking
