Hi Fran,
Our school has also put in an submission for the same funding. The only hardware items that I could think of were a set of Wacom tablets. But you may wish to think guest speakers, games console, plasma screen, surround sound system, Midi keyboards and perhaps a large format printer.
I am sure that $60,000 will go very quickly,
