Website design is good as there is more emphasis in the exam on writing for the web. I do a "podcast" of a radio program with ads and community annoncements, and then they design a related webpage - so they get to repurpose the ads and announcements for the web.

Hi Fran,
You can let them use their graphic skills to design a brochure or advertising postcard or even a website. The grading is done on the content and layout of the text but the visual elements and overall design can keep them interested. These activities still lend themselves to drafting, evaluation & review, consideration of target audience, etc. a required by the UOC.

Subject: [vet-mm] Content & Copy
Hey all,
I am teaching VET MM Cert III for the 2nd time around and struggling to think of ideas to make the Content and Copy module more interesting...? Last year, that was the most dry, boring SAC task that I set, and I'm looking for ideas of what other people have done, and perhaps thinking about incorporating a new task... Anyone willing to share?
Thanks,
Fran
