[vet-mm] State Reviewer for Multimedia 2007

Hi everyone

 

I have just been appointed by the VCAA as State Reviewer for VET
Multimedia. I am replacing Dean Pearman who has recently retired from
the role. In his capacity as State Reviewer and as a Multimedia teacher,
Dean has been a great advocate for the subject and a terrific support
for teachers over the years. I'm sure I speak for everyone in thanking
Dean for all his work in developing and supporting the subject and its
teachers and students.  

 

I have taught VCE/VET Multimedia for the last five years at Braemar
College, making the move back to the State system and Gisborne Secondary
College at the start of this year. I can be contacted on my brand new

My role as State Reviewer is to overview and support the in-school
assessment and curriculum delivery process. I am happy to discuss with
teachers what you are planning and delivering in regard to assessment
tasks and assessing competencies and to offer and share ideas and
suggestions. (Don't ask me about the exam - its way beyond my brief!)

 

I'll be at the VCAA PD Workshop on the 6th March and hope to meet up
with many of you there. I certainly strongly encourage any new teachers
to the subject (and particularly the 3/4 end of it) to come to this PD.
It's a valuable opportunity to meet other teachers, share ideas, see
sample work and share assessment tasks.
