p.s. we have a yr 12 student who was in much the same predicament, wanting to do Cert3 all in the one year. She decided to enrol in Cert 2 to give her some MM experience to compliment her graphics and art subjects and she was a bit lucky that it fitted into her timetable. It left her without a 5th unit 3&4 sequence but she decided it would suit her needs better in the long run. Given that we have approx 250 scheduled hours to cover the full Cert 3 course which is nominally supposed have 450 or so hours allocated to it, it is hard enough to fit it into two years, let alone one. I imagne you would probably only consider it for a student who had enough experience to apply for RPL for most of the Cert 2 stuff.

Subject: [vet-mm] VET MM Year 12
We don't offer VET MM here yet, but I have a year 11 student who is thinking of doing it off-campus next year. She hasn't done it in Year 11. Would she be allowed to do Units 3 and 4 without doing Unit 1 and 1? And would she be best advised not to try it even if she is allowed? She isn't a strong student.
Any advice gratefully received.
Lesley
