Hi everyone

Apologies if you receive this email communication from more than one source,
as it will be distributed through a range of networks and organisations.
Dear Colleague
There are multimedia qualifications in three Training Packages under the
coverage of Innovation and Business Skills Australia (IBSA). They are CUF01
Film, Television, Radio and Multimedia; ICA05 Information Technology and
ICP05 Printing and Graphic Arts. On 1 June, a discussion paper about ways to
streamline these qualifications will be available for comment until the end
of June. In summary, the paper:
. identifies how "multimedia" intersects with the information technology and
printing and graphic arts disciplines
. proposes options for re-organising existing "multimedia" qualifications to
reflect functional areas associated with developing and distributing digital
content
. identifies gaps and duplication in current qualifications.
If you would like a copy of this paper emailed directly to you, please
contact Linda Marson, the consultant who is undertaking the review as part
of the 2006 Cultural Industries projects, which are being managed by IBSA
and facilitated by tidemark design. Her email address is
lmarson at bigpond.net.au.
If you would like to join the digital content discussion forum which has
been established to facilitate discussion about the review of the existing
multimedia qualifications and units of competency in CUF01, please contact
Andrew Jones at tidemark design - andrew at tidemark.com.au
And remember - by advising your colleagues to register on IBSA's database at
www.ibsa.org.au, they will automatically be included in all update
communication.
Best Regards
David Kelly
