Hi Peter,
I think that since VET courses are supposed to be all about preparing
students for the workplace, then we should be enforcing workplace
constrictions like no use of copyrighted music in ANY VET task. I made
all of mine use music off royalty free sites. There are a few around.
There are CDs you can buy that have good backing tracks and sounds where
you buy the copyright licence. I know Pete Brownstein had some last
year at Riverstone Multimedia that may be worth a look.
Cheers,
Rachelle

Hi all,
I was hoping someone could offer some clarification on sound files.
Can someone please inform me if students may use acquired sounds/songs
within their 2D animation task.
Are they permitted to utilize a known movie backing track?
Must all the sound they use be original work produced by them?
