Hi Paul,
Obviously don't know what other titles you currently have but might be worth considering the Sony suite. You get Sound Forge, Acid Music and a lite version of Vegas video. That way you have the flexibility of doing video or audio in Cert 2. As Rachelle says, neither are essential for Cert 3, except perhaps for inserting mm part of the web pages module.
Obviously the important thing is to ensure you have the software sanctioned for the Cert 3 exam, and that kids are really confident with it.
