Hi Tania

 Are these the only options as units of competence for you to choose ? 
To demonstrate the use of current virtualisation technologies such as
VMWare, HyperV not only requires expensive hardware but a high degree of
knowledge that sits around Diploma and Advanced Diploma levels which we
teach at Ringwood SC by the way as part of our RTO.  To settle for VMWare
player, virtual box and parallels would leave out the industry standards
which is against the DNA of competency based training packages in the AQF.
As for cloud, evaluation of cloud solutions and services the list covers:
1. Public
2. Private
3. Custom 
4. Hybrid

 As you can see these also require a high degree of knowledge to do well. I
would recommend alternative units for yr 12 unless you feel you can deliver
these.

newly added UOC's:

ICANWK306A Evaluate characteristics of cloud computing solutions and
services and ICANWK419A Identify and use current virtualisation technologies

I am really keen to deliver these to my year 12 students in the Certificate
III
