1. VITTA Video Challenge 2013
All schools are invited to enter teams in to the VITTA Video Challenge 2013.
Entries can be in the categories:
Primary-Prep to Year 6
Junior Secondary - Year 7 to Year 9
Senior Secondary - Year 10 to Year 12
Only one entry per category will be accepted from each school. Your school
may like to run their own film festival to decide which entry will be
represented in each category.
Your team has 6 hours to produce a 3 minute film.
All video (animated or non-animated) must be between 2 and 3 minutes in
length. Opening title and closing credit sequences may sit outside these
time restrictions.
Most production must occur within a 6 hour time frame either on one day or
spread out over a number of days.
Each entry must feature the secret object in at least one scene and the
secret phrase as dialogue or text.
Competition theme for 2013: ICT - Opening Doors (in education, community,
productivity & sustainability).
A secret phrase and object will be emailed to the organising teacher when
requested just before the 6 hours of film making commences.
Any graphics and music used in the must be original or reproduced with
authorisation and acknowledgement.***
***This is very important - each year entries are knocked out because the
graphics or music used is copyrighted and used without permission. It is
much better to use non-copyrighted sources or create your own music and
graphics.

2. Yagas - Young Australasian Games Awards
Entries are now invited for the Young Australasian Games Awards.
There are two YAGA categories:
. - Primary Games Programming
. - Secondary Games Programming
Schools can submit as many entries as they like into any category.
. The competition is open to Primary and Secondary students.
The final submission date for all entries is 4pm, 20 June 2013.

Future Dreaming
Students are invited to rise to the challenge and write a game that teaches
the concepts of the future or future realities. The word 'Dreaming' can be
an interpretation of the Indigenous Australian story telling.

What to include in your entry and what to make sure you have documented
Your name:
Your school's name:
Your supervising teacher's name:
Language chosen:
The language that the game is written in, including the version number.
Program overview:
A one page program overview that explains the context of the program within
either theme of this year's competition, and it's basic function.
The program itself. The program should be zipped into a single file to
ensure that all folders and sub-folders are included. The source files
themselves should be submitted as well as an executable that can be run
independently of the programming language interface (if this is possible -
see below).
Loading instructions - how to load and run the program.
Students must also ensure:
