[vet-it] VET Information Technology exam panel invitation

Hi Folks,

 

 The VCAA is seeking expressions of interest from anyone who would like to
join the examination setting panel for VET IT for 2011.

As the email below explains, applicants must not be teaching the subject in
the year they are on the panel and not have a close relationship with anyone
doing the subject.

It is really outstanding PD and worth the effort. Please email Michelle

Hi Kevork,

As I outlined on the phone, I am the Project Manager in the VCAA Exams Unit
who looks after VET Information Technology. We are currently setting up the
panels to set and vet (check) the 2011 examinations. Applications for these
positions close this weekend (25th July). Panel members are responsible, as
a team, for writing the examination. This involves a series of meetings with
the rest of the panel. The first draft of the examinations is due around
February; this is followed by a series of checking processes, which can also
involve the panel, who are required to respond to the vetting process. There
is a payment made to exam panel members.

Panel members must not be teaching the subject in the year they write the
exam, nor have any close relationships (eg son/daughter, niece/nephew) with
anybody doing that subject.

If you know of anybody who might be interested in applying for the panel, or
would like to discuss this with me further, I would appreciate if you could
pass on my contact details (stated below).
