Dear ICT Teachers,

VITTA is pleased to announce that the ICT Achievers Program is up and
running again for 2009!

Applications open Tuesday the 3rd of March and we urge you all too encourage
your students to take advantage of this fantastic opportunity.

By participating in ICT Achievers, 20 ICT talented students in Year 11 this
year will be delivered valuable hands-on experience whilst supervised by
industry professionals. This program is richer than traditional work
experience due to active involvement of industry professionals as mentors
for the students who take part.

Placements on offer are diverse and include organisations like:

   - Infinite Interactive
   - Internet Vision Technologies
   - Accuteque
   - CA Pacific
   - Crunch IT
   - Melbourne Museum/ Scienceworks
   - Melbourne University
   - Academy of Interactive Entertainment
   - Advance 3D Modelling
   - Online Learning Group
   - Ricoh
   - Swinburne University
   - Monash University

In 2009, the program extends beyond individual benefit by focusing on
knowledge creation and sharing. Each student will create a multimedia
resource and a blog of their experiences which will build a digital bank of
resources and case studies on ICT careers options for other students to
enjoy.

Upon completion of their placements students will be rewarded with a
certificate, an honorarium and will walk away with valuable industry
experience.
