Hi Dan,
I would use the following. This is what I have been using for 08 and we implemented the course this yr.
IT Fundamentals. Pearson education
Its about $55 and covers all the core units for 1 and 2. it provides activates, both practical and theory and plenty of content. It's a very big book and you can buy the units separately. Although it does work out to be more expensive.
You can buy from here www.ibsa.org.au
There are plenty of other resources as well. I would recommend the following for yourself
Complete cert 2 package. Software Publications. Also from ISBA.
Its about $100
Then for 3 and 4 you would a combination of 2 texts. One for the core, and another for the elective.
Anything else, let me know. If I don't know I will pass you onto someone who does.

Subject: [vet-it] Possible text book for VET IT 1 & 2
Hi all, hope somebody can help.
I've found out recently that we are dropping VCE IT 1 & 2 and offering VET
IT 1 & 2. I need to let the AP know what text book I will be using for
this new course, by this Friday. I've got no idea.
I am using the Potts book for VCE 1 & 2 and am wondering if this would be
suitable for the VET course. Or are there better options out there?
Any ideas would be really appreciated.
Thanks
Dan
