Hi Diane,
This is my first year teaching VET IT year 11 certificae III and we follow a workbook by Bsarnes publishing author: Allan Basrnes kew victoria.
Since VET is TAFE related, our school is associated with a particular TAFE and auditing/feedback happens often.
There is no clean cut answer to your question, but the TAFE should be able to shed some light on what they expect you to be using, whether down to specific applications or type of applications.
They may also recommend particular textbooks and workbooks.

Be aware though, that any teacher that would be teaching VET would be as if he/she was teaching at teh TAFE and they won't even recognise teacher's correction and/or marking uless the teacher has or is in the process of obtaing workplace Certificate IV

Hope this helps.

Regards
Amin Soufi

Subject: [vet-it] Query on VET and software applications

Hello everyone
As usual, I'm asking an 'off topic' question - we are considering introducing VET IT (and have been for about three years but that's another story). If we introduce the Software Applications stream, is there a list of 'prescribed' software that must be studied or are we able to decide on a variety of software of our choice? Or if we go for the General stream, is it 'meaty' enough for the students?

Any comments, suggestions, ideas would be most appreciated.
Thank you
Diane Peat
