[vet-it] New Training Package

Hi Lesley,

  The new Training package is known as ICA05 and it is not to be brought in until 2007 as far as the VET unit of the VCAA is concerned. This advice is from Lisa Burgess of the VET unit.
  I have purchased the new package and there are name and Units of Competence changes. You can enquire at

   No doubt the VCAA will have to "massage" the package in order to work out the Year 11 and 12 breakdown of units of competence etc before we have to deal with it, organise groupings for assessment etc.

 Having said all that , I don't work for the VCAA so it would be nice to hear this from one of them.

Dear all,

My RTO for our VET IT Cert III course told me the other day that there is a totally new Training Package in IT, and that this will mean considerable change to the VET IT Cert III course.

I've had a quick look on the VCAA website and found no reference to it. Has anyone else been told this? Are there resources around about what has changed?
