Hello Fellow VCAL Administrators,

Teaching and engaging the VCAL cohort can be a very challenging undertaking. However, I have introduced this really simple and engaging program that has seen the students finally find meaning to their education. It has seen them remove the earphones from the ears that were competing for my air time! This simple skateboard building program has links with math, english, art, wood & business management. I have structured it as a business unit that integrates literacy and numeracy as well as creating community links. For your benefit I have attached some curriculum dot points as well as the company that I was able to purchase the supplies from. www.australianskateboardkits.com. A number of schools are already getting on board.
