[Textiles and Technology] Research into STEM for low-SES schools - invitation to participate

Morning everyone, hope you're well. One of our members, Phillippa Loton, is currently undertaking her PhD (as well as teaching!! She's amazing!), and is looking for some STEM teachers from low-SES schools to interview. I'm hoping some of you can help - there is not a lot of research that goes on in our learning area, so it's wonderful to see this happening! Invitation to School Teachers

Are you a Technology or Science teacher of project-based STEM classes? Is your school in a low Socio-Economic Status (SES) community and you care about equity for your students? I am looking for teachers willing to participate in my PhD research which looks at issues affecting STEM education practice in low SES schools in Victoria. This study would initially require teachers to complete a 15 minute survey and an interview of approximately 1 hour. When possible, the research would include a classroom observation and a student survey. The focus of this study is practices by schools that support or inhibit STEM education practices - not the performance of individual teachers or students. Note I work Monday - Thursday. The DATTA Vic office is closed on Fridays.
