** Pilot Safe Use of Machinery course
Update from the Dept. of Education

Dear friends

Thank you to all those teachers from government schools who volunteered to participate in the pilot courses on the Safe Use of Machinery (woodwork and metal work) that have been developed by the Dept.of Education.

The DET has been in touch with DATTA Vic again, and have asked us to pass on their thanks to everyone who registered an interest.

The response has been extremely positive.

Due to the limited number of places (8), the pilot has filled quickly.

The woodwork pilot will run on Wednesday 16 September.

The metal work pilot will not run on Friday 18 September as originally planned  and will be rescheduled for the next term. The date is yet to be fixed.

Those teachers who are on the woodwork pilot (16/9) will receive a confirmation very shortly.

We will keep you posted on developments.
