[Textiles and Technology] Fashion Prize - closing date extended to 19 July

To encourage more entries the closing date for the 2010 Fashion Prize has
been extended to Monday 19 July.    We look forward to seeing fresh
interpretations of  ³Y-chic² expressed as a mood board and illustrations.
The Australian Academy of Design invites entries from aspiring fashion
designers in the following categories:

Secondary Category

First Place:            Gift voucher from Carmel¹s Fabric Store valued at
$500
Second Place:        Gift voucher from Carmel¹s Fabric Store valued at $300
Third Place:           Gift voucher from Carmel¹s Fabric Store valued at
$200
Top 10 Finalists:     Sewing and Design Kit from Carmel¹s Fabric Store

Tertiary Category

First Place:           Gift voucher from Carmel¹s Fabric Store valued at
$500
Second Place:       Gift voucher from Carmel¹s Fabric Store valued at $300
Third Place:           Gift voucher from Carmel¹s Fabric Store valued at
$200
Top 10 Finalists:    Sewing and Design Kit from Carmel¹s Fabric Store

Finalists of the competition will be exhibited in the Academy¹s Clement
Meadmore Gallery from 28 July ­ 13 August 2010.

How to enter:
Download an entry form from www.designacademy.edu.au
Email your entry to awards at designacademy.edu.au and be sure to include:
€  an image of your mood board and drawings in jpeg or pdf format
€  completed entry form with artist¹s release form
€  artist¹s statement of no more than 150 words. This statement should
explain how the work addresses the theme
€  completed model release form (if applicable)

Next steps for finalists will be advised on 19 July.
