[Textiles and Technology] Outcome 2, Unit 3 SAC

HI All,
It's my first time teaching the subject and no one at my school who's done it.
For outcome 2 SAC can students take in the textbook as their resource for case studies? Or will this give them too much information regarding other short answer questions on the SAC eg. What does LCA stand for and how is it applied? 
Or should i copy just the case studies for the students for the SAC?

Any advice would be great.
