I vote for Papercut. Cheap and highly effective with the added bonus of
having data in MS Acess format so data extract of other reports are easy...

Hi Shane
I have used Gaia and papercut for both printing and internet charging.
Both were fine for printing, both add print value by using vouchers
purchased from business manager/ bursar and printed out by IT staff
Papercut was superior for internet charging as it updated every 10 minutes,
The older version of GAIA only updated once per day, I do not have recent
experience with the latest version of GAIA and internet charging.
Just be careful of the share where the data is held as the encryption key
for gaia is, by default, stored in the data folder.. as students here found
out!

Hi All,
I would appreciate some feedback on what other schools are using to manage
there printing costs with students - Software and or policies. How effective
is it and how do you manage student payment.
Thanks
