You should join the Victoria Systems Engineering Teachers group at Edna. In fact all Systems Teachers should join. It was started mid way through the year. There is some useful material there. Go to:- http://www.groups.edna.edu.au/

G'day all.

I am starting System Engineering at my school next year. The existing teacher is moving to greener pastures..

I have a few questions:

Are there any resources, like VITTA have on-line VCE I.T applications & Software Development? I would be really interested in sample SAC's and books to buy, anything!

I teach Electrotechnology (VET/VCE/VCAL) at the moment - so if you need anything let me know!

Cheers & thanks

Tuesday Dec 4 2007

Dear new and experienced Systems Engineering Teachers,

During the year I set up the Victorian Systems Engineering Teachers
Group with EdNA as a response to requests from members of a DATTA
workshop on Unit 4. The EdNA Group allows members to upload any
information / files relating to teaching Systems that can be shared as
a common resource. During the busy periods of semester 2 contributions
slowed significantly. However the Group offers great potential for
resource sharing, which should be invaluable especially to those new
to the subject.

We have had quite a lot of helpful worksheets and tests on already but
there must be plenty more we can contribute. This is a good time of
the year to look at your notes and see if you can find a few items
that you are willing share amongst the Group.

These are the instructions I received from EdNA to send to our
teachers to get them started...

Your group members will need to Register with edna Groups, and the best
way to do that is to direct them to http://www.groups.edna.edu.au <http://www.groups.edna.edu.au/> and
then to click on Register. They will be required to confirm that
registration by email.

Once they have registered and the group is made available to them, they
will be able to access it by going to
http://www.groups.edna.edu.au/course/view.php?id=1469 and inputting the
invitation key.

The invitation key is VSET

We expect all Group members to comply with netiquette as defined in our
Conditions of Use.
These can be found at
http://www.groups.edna.edu.au/mod/resource/view.php?id=28343 and a link
is displayed in your "welcome" section.

Let me know how you go accessing the Group and if there are any
problems.

Thanks to everyone for their contributions to date.

Cheers
