Hi
I would email or call the subject area state chairperson. They strongly recommended this to a group of senior teachers today.

VCAA will only support content in their study design so if you have a Cambridge Press resource or 4 Cat's Gallery or even attended the Ed speaker session dealing with TOP Arts.
The VCAA 2010 criteria is applied based on their criteria and it may save you time, effort and problems in the future.
After a lengthy discussion . Please call before trusting any text or advice from experienced teacher.
Best Wishes for 2010.

Just a couple of questions for a first timer for unit 4. Can you advice me
please..?

1. I know a student can re-work a photo that she has taken in unit 3 if
it hasn't been totally resolved? But the problem being a couple of my
students have taken their best photos for unit 3 and used them as their
potential directions and are not sure where to go with them with unit 4 and
yet they want to use them.

2. For the journal work should they print out all their potential
directions and then refine which direction they have decided to go? Is it
acceptable that they select 2 of each idea to form cohesive portfolio in
preference to just the one direction?

3. How many photos should the final portfolio contain? And can they do 2
sets for example of different areas relating to their exploration proposal?

4. How much research, sketching and proof sheets are needed for each
idea without becoming repetitious from the design process?
