Title:      Creating Digital Solutions strand in the Digital technologies Curriculum (F-10)

Time:     1 hour

Abstract
This online session will explore the Creating Digital Solutions strand of the Digital Technologies curriculum. Specialist teachers will highlight the progression through the strand from F-10, and identify key ideas including programming with students. The session will make links between the ways of thinking involved in each level.

Outline:

*        Key concepts in the Creating Digital Solutions strand

*        Ways of thinking

*        Algorithm development

*        Transition from visual programming languages to general purpose programming languages to object oriented programming languages

*        Possible teaching approaches
