[Year 12 SofDev] EXE files blocked by network administration

Hi,

I have to teach Programming to Year-11 from next week. At my new school, I found that the IT support have blocked students from running EXE files.
When I spoke to them, they told me that they had hacking incidents in the past. Hence, they have blocked students from running EXE files. If anyone has had similar challenge where students have been blocked from running EXE files, could you please tell me, how this was addressed?
