[Year 12 SofDev] Student query

Fatima,

At the risk of getting in before the people with titles to back them up – I’m pretty sure this is the go:

Approving a students’ proposal for the SAT is at the teachers’ discretion, and as such probably comes down to whether you are confident you can understand the C++ code well enough to assess his work, and whether his skills in the language are going to be sufficient to meet the criteria without the support & resources that would come with doing the same as the rest of the class.

But while there’s nothing stopping a student using a different language on the SAT, I’m pretty sure the student should be doing the SAC work in the same language. But I’m less confident of that one.

Subject: [Year 12 SofDev] Student query

Good morning and happy Friday to all!
I have a student in my SD class who wants to do all his SAC/SAT work in C++. Our school however is using Visual Basic. Is it okay for him to use C++?

Regards

Carpe Diem ☺
