Thanks for sharing Lisa,
I ended up using a lot of the code.org<http://code.org/> videos in both my year 12 and my year 9 classes last year - they're a good entry point for further discussion.

Subject: [Year 12 SofDev] networking videos
Hi all,
Found some useful videos this week, more for junior / Year 11 Computing I suppose, but thought I’d share anyway:
Public key encryption (how the keys are exchanged before encrypted data is sent): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U62S8SchxX4
Packet switching: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AYdF7b3nMto
What is the internet: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dxcc6ycZ73M
(A lot of the Code.org videos are well animated and keep student attention… )
Cybersecurity (simple language, for juniors): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sdpxddDzXfE
This links in with some games: http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/labs/about-cyber-lab/educator-guide/
Kind regards,
Lisa Kerekes
