[Year 12 SofDev] Legislation query

Hi Damien,

My understanding is that because it is not explicitly referenced in the KK, it is not assessable for SD, just like the Spam Act is not in Informatics. Makes it hard on the kids that do both subjects. I have this issue with the elements of data integrity being different in both subjects too.

Hope we're doing the right thing!!

Hi folks,
A couple of questions that have been rolling around in my head for a while now revolving around the Privacy and Data Protection Act and Health Records Act 2001, particularly which one relates to a state government hospital.
The hospital collects personal information on the patients - therefore it's covered by the PDPA, but if that information is collected as a part of the health care information of a patient, then my understanding is it's covered by the HRA.

So, can we accept answers that give either act for a hospital, or is it just the one choice. Would this be fair in the exam too?
Secondly, the HRA is covered in the Glossary, but not in the KK of U402 (all the other acts are), is this an oversight, or deliberate, so should we steer away from case studies like this in this outcome but still teach it in preparation for the exam.
