[Year 12 SofDev] sofdev Digest, Vol 134, Issue 6

This is the first time I am doing a SAT type assessment and I am struggling to find the fine balance between providing feedback & helping, especially when I see a mistake glaring at me.

I've told both SD and Informatics that I'm happy to steer them if they're way off course (in the 1-4 range) but no more than that. They seemed to accept that as fair, and most of them took me up on that offer.

The biggest issue I've found so far is weak literacy/grammatical skills which misrepresent their intentions... to those students I've suggested having someone else proof read.

Hi All,

Just looking for other opinions on undue assistance if a student would like a draft checked before submission.
I am happy to guide the students, but by giving direct feedback this falls into a grey area and was after some clarification.

..If only there were multiple SofDev teachers in the same school :P
