Hi all,

Also first time teaching SD, using VB at the moment but am to moving to C# for Year 11 (this year) and 12 (next year).

http://dotnetfiddle.net is a great site to use for the basics before moving onto Visual Studio later to create user interfaces.

Am looking to start a Year 10 Game Development elective next year using Unity, which uses C# for the game scripting. It took a while but finally got the licences from Unity Technologies (free for secondary schools now)

Khan Academy (Javascript) plus some C# at Year 9 will hopefully get students skilled up on the fundamentals early as possible.

Year 9 - Javascript / C#
Year 10 Unity - C#
Year 11 - C# - dotnetfiddle.net<http://dotnetfiddle.net> / Visual Studio
Year 12 - C# - Visual Studio

Hi

I am not teaching Software Development this year but am thinking about what language to teach in Unit 2 Computing. Would Javascript be suitable? What languages are people using in Units 3 and 4?

Thanks
