[Year 12 SofDev] IT Teachers Industry Visits

Just a reminder that the closing date for the Industry Days is this Friday. There are a few positions remaining.


Swinburne University of Technology invites secondary school IT teachers to take advantage of a rare opportunity to gain first-hand insight into the role and functions of information technology in some of Australia’s most dynamic businesses. You will gain an understanding of real-world scenarios and what attributes companies look for in potential employees. Each session has been designed by the individual company and will offer plenty of opportunities to ask questions. Participants from previous year’s visits have confirmed that the experience was valuable in shaping their teaching approach.

Places are extremely limited so please only apply if you have a strong interest in attending. You are advised to register early to avoid disappointment. Adobe, Coles, SAP, SMS and Thoughtworks have generously offered to give a small number of participants an insight into the way information technology functions in their business. We will notify successful registrants whether they have been accepted into the course via the email address provided by the 14th November.
