Dear all,

Back-tracking through this thread I noticed David Howard's mention of CodeAcademy. I used this for the Year 11 programming portfolio last year - setting milestones to satisfy the outcome requirements, but also encouraging the highly interested & motivated students to move ahead at their own pace.

It was brilliant! I could do a whole class focus on particular programming concepts, then spend a lot of 1-1 time with students as they needed it. They were all highly engaged and achieved a better understanding of programming than in previous years. I will be using it again next term!
