[Year 12 SofDev] Reaccredited study design - mark allocation

Hi Phillip,

I just checked …

Percentage contributions to the study score in VCE Computing are as follows:
• Unit 3 School-assessed Coursework: 10 per cent
• Unit 4 School-assessed Coursework: 10 per cent
• School-assessed Task: 30 per cent
• End-of-year examination: 50 per cent.

We will have both SACs (20%) & a SAT (30%) as well as the exam. I will be interested to see how the SAT will be monitored and authenticated. Looking forward to some PD on this next year!

The reaccredited study design (VCE Computing), to be introduced in 2016, is now available on the  VCAA website at:

http://www.vcaa.vic.edu.au/Documents/vce/computing/ComputingSD-2016.pdf

Until 31 December 2015, you can only access this study design via the Information Technology study page - from 1 January 2016 the study will appear under 'Computing'.

Looking at the Software Development mark break down, am I missing something?

School-assessed Task for Units 3 and 4 contributes 30 per cent.
External assessment
The level of achievement for Units 3 and 4 is also assessed by an end-of-year examination.
Contribution to final assessment
The examination will contribute 50 per cent
