[Year 12 SofDev] 'fi' and 'fl' missing in 2012 exam papers

Hi all,

I have just printed off some previous years' exam papers for my kids to use for revision over the break.
The 2012 paper is missing the 'fi's and 'fl's.  

I thought this was just for the SD paper, but just printed off a 2012 Bus Man paper for one of my homeroom kids. 
Same thing. 

Any ideas how to avoid this? Why have the papers available if they can't be easily read?
