Given that he is one of the inventors of structured analysis I think it's a safe bet that it is an authorative reference (and you might be surprised at how much flexibility there is)

  Chapter 4 of Adrians book has a good section on golden rules and a worked example. 

   

  I will try and find some other resources other than my university text books which are located somewhere..

  You will be pleasantly surprised at the resources and tools out there in g land!

  Which text u using? AJ's book has info,on this issue...

  Wikipedia is another source too.

   

  Right now I am focussing on the OSI model and the SRS document in class...but I do have great kids and that helps!
