For exam writers out there, the latest VCAA
bulletin<http://www.vcaa.vic.edu.au/Pages/correspondence/bulletins/2013/April/vce_general.aspx#1>has
some info about a format change in IT exams...
*VCE written examinations*
*
*
*Teachers and students are advised of a change to the format of most
written VCE examinations. From 2013, the marks allocated for each question
will be stated at the beginning of each question.*
*
*
*For example: Question 1 (10 marks)*
*
*
*If there are parts or sub-parts to a question, the marks for each part or
sub-part will be shown in the right-hand margin next to the question.*
*
*
*For example:*
*
*
*a. Define life expectancy. 1 mark*
*
*
*Previously, the marks allocated for a question or part of a question have
been shown at the end of the answer space. The change outlined above has
been made in response to feedback from teachers and examination setters
about providing clear information to students about the value of questions.
The total marks for each section and the whole examination will continue to
be published on the front cover of each examination.*
