This is an outstanding idea. We have all year 10 /11 students with iPads this year, but are asking students to BYOD after that. My thought was to develop a Year 10 games programming course using HTML5, canvas and java script, probably PHP as well. Having re-read that it is vague, I know.

There are some very funky games out there. The development is platform independent, (maybe use Dreamweaver??) so our mostly PC labs can be used, or the one Mac lab we have, or whatever the students bring themselves. Testing and deployment can be done on anything as long as they have a browser to test it on.

The limitations of having to use macs to program for iOS have put me off programming "apps". Is anyone else concerned about access?
