[Year 12 SofDev] Data Structure Diagrams

One of the design tools listed in U3O2 is a data structure diagram

>From the textbook I see that the DSD is similar to an ER diagram from IT Apps. But what do we include in the diagram?

Do we show what fields make up a file? Or can I use the diagram to represent the different 'procedures' in the program and how they are related???
