Kent,
I got mine about 2 weeks ago. I was already registered as a teacher as I
had access to resources for the Year 11 IT text, however I did not have
access immediately to the ones for this book. I did see it in my
dashboard on the Nelson website (nelsonnet.com.au) and could access the
e-book though (I ordered the ebook/hardcopy pack), just not the
resources. I emailed Laura Whitton (laura.whitton at cengage.com - I think
she's the Victorian rep) and she referred it to Joseph Shipp
(joseph.shipp at cengage.com - One of their IT guys?) who gave me access to
the resources. It isn't the source code I was so much worried about, but
all of the images that they refer to as you need these to complete the
activities. From there it's a simple case of downloading the 2 source
files which are zipped (Students have access to it all too), one which
is the images and another which is the completed projects (Including the
"Test your knowledge" kinds of ones at the ends of the chapters).
Also, there is an app on the iPad "NelsonNetBook" that you can download
for free and access all of your e-books from them and I have found it
useful, if occasionally glitchy.
I would love to see a list of books that your librarian comes up with,
however remember that there is also now an iOS list as well on edulists!
Cheers
Trav
PS. On iTunes U there is an excellent series of lectures from Stanford
on using XCode and app development.

Subject: [Year 12 SofDev] X-code related materials(books)...
Hi all
I have an 'appro' copy of the X-Code/iOS book recently mentioned on
these lists. Annoyingly, they(Nelson-CENGAGE) tell me I must order 10 of
the books to access the source code. Not good!
Have emailed them voicing my concerns on that issue. Seems I am not the
only one voicing a similar concern on that one.
Moving along, I then approached my librarian here and he has organised
with our supplier to gather a few books of similar ilk...ie about
programming the iOS and X-Code or similar.
When I get the list, if desired I could perhaps publish the list here of
choices I am offered...
Interested?
Kent.
