An update on the availability of the SD 2nd edition text!

This will probably only be available in mid-December, but I have started to receive pre-orders already.

iBook edition: available very soon!  I can't give any more information than this but the text has been lodged with the Apple iBook Store.

With all editions, I am bundling a full practice exam paper and solutions (which I have on my site for $33) for free.  Once students purchase any of the editions, they receive a coupon code that allows them to download this at no cost.
I am also selling the eBook to those that have already purchased the print version - for $16.50 - again via a coupon code that students will receive with their print text.

It's some years since I taught the programming course at Units 3 and 4 level, and I've decided, after hearing Kevork's terrific presentations at last week's VITTA PD to give it another shot, since all my students for next year are more interested in programming than they are in the ITA course.

So, a couple of newbie questions:

What text books are available / recommended?

If any list members were willing to send me SACs they've used this year, I'd be grateful, as I would be for any other guidance that might help a newbie most efficiently prepare for teaching the course.
