David,

Microsoft released a compatibility pack for office files. You could try that. It is here:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/support/microsoft-office-compatibility-pack-for-word-excel-and-powerpoint-HA010168676.aspx

If the files were made in a recent version of office you should be able to open them in 2003 if you use this tool.

Regards,

Guy Flaherty

I have the VITTA resource kit for SD - some of which is in XML format including the Paella Barn one for U402.
Since we use 2003 Word it seems that it is difficult to get these many XML files to display in word or IE.
I guess it was produced in a later version of Word.
What is the easiest way to convert it to Word (preferably without installing licensed software) or even HTML?
Otherwise maybe the author could even kindly send it in 2003 format to save me some time?
I think there is also something in this kit from Kevork - in XML but I cannot view it on this system.
I may have to convert these at home - although I do not have a later version there either (yes I live in the dark but happy ages of IT).
thanks
David
