Hi Gordon,

Do ya reckon you could email me so we could meet and have a yak? I'd be interested to chat on the Soft Dev. subject as I am introducing it here next year.

Am interested to see how you do the subject there and if you have any tips or resources you may care to share.

Open offer...we are afterall in the same country town...

email me at the addy below if interested in networking. Also, if you know of the other colleges/teachers round here doing SD(Dimmy, Murtoa, Warrack etc...) I'd be interested in perhaps starting a small network of us I.T teachers in this wimmera region...it cant hurt!.

(hint...think of it as legit PD for the VIT rego process too!!!)

The correct response should be:  200,20,50,20,100,20
 All values >=  500 get 90% discount. Only items with original cost > 1000 get free postage, hence all have $20 postage

Also, the indentation of the 2nd else statement is misleading.

finally{ the algorithm above question 10 should read in the 3rd line:
"While item < X and not Itemfound do " }

But this is nitpicking really - it is a great resource and I know how difficult it is to write this style of question.

You are certainly correct about Q11, Gordon. The answer should be D. I reckon this is a typo (still a mistake, however) because the explanation is correct (a one dimentional array).

What should be the correct response for Q18?

I've just had a run through the VITTASD2011 unit3 theory test - a great resource but with a couple of errors.

Q11 should be D - This is the only unambiguously correct answer. It MAY also be C but you have to make assumptions about data type of telephone[].  (which are usually string in exams anyway!)

Q18 None of the responses are correct....because of an (unintentional) error in the algorithm . I think the 90% should be a 10%???

I have yet to go through all of them in detail but I do recall one or more have algorithms that were not pseudo code sorry don???t have more concrete examples, it???s on my ???to do??? list!

The ones I am aware of ??? Insight, VITTA (x 2 plus revision) and CSE/IARTV ??? I have all of these, all can be used in range of ways for revision.
But as I indicated in VITTA presentation please check all questions to ensure they are in fact part of this year???s course content.
Will probably use one of VITTAs for ???practice exam week???
