[Year 12 SofDev] Possibly Starting SofDev at our school next year

Hi Ben,

We have a virtual machine here that is accessible from outside so that my SD students can run their PHP scripts from home. You don't need a virtual machine but it is handy.

XAMPP will run fine for processing PHP if that is your chosen language.

There is a version for Mac students also.

My students use Dreamweaver to write their PHP code, it colour codes is nicely but that's about it.

Hey SofDev people!

Our school (and I) are looking at running Software Development for the first time next year.

I'm wondering about the technical (network and computer) requirements of running the units? We don't have any php servers running for students or anything. We do have Visual studio to use though. Are there any other big things that we may need to consider in running it next year?
