Kinda like a newbies freshman guide to the big wide world of SD teaching!  lol. Perhaps too, a spinoff from my request might be to assist some new teachers who've been too scared to ask for help. (me? not exactly shy, but those who've met me already likely know that...)

seems the school has approved that SD will be offered here in 2012. I am now seeking resources and course planning materials of any genre to assist me in getting up and running.



My wish list includes:

    **Course planning timelines**

    **Sample outcomes**

    Work samples

    Possible links to useful sites..

    **Text book recommendations**



Anyone willing to share this kind of stuff would be greatly appreciated..

Yes, I have some of my own info and resources but it would be great to hear from CURRENTLY TEACHING staff of this subject.



Also interested to know peoples thoughts on the new study design wrt this subject. ie KK & KS .



Thanks in advance to those who are willing to share this stuff. I am coming back into the Programming fold after time in the wilderness so my resources are a tad out of sync with current trends and I seek to correct this with your assistance.

I am likely to be utilizing VBasic.net as the language. My weakest link is u4oc1 task with the mobile devices.(short on ideas here...).



I am strongly considering running a few lessons with my kids 'pre-commencement'(during the school hols) to give them a running start to the year so we all get off to a good start. Have thought about creating a set of holiday worksheets/tasks to help them do this. Anyone done this that they could pass on to me??



It is lots to ask and I promise when up and running to share what I do with other listers as I have always done on the ITApps and similar lists.(i have just unsubscribed from the ITApps list to ensure my mailbox doesnt explode!)
