Hi,



A request for your experienced advice!



I'm probably going to be teaching Yr 12 Software Development next year & I have no formal programming training. I've taught VCE IT, Aries, Cisco, VET IT etc. over the last 13+ years so I'm used to on-the-job / just in time learning. I'd like to make sure I am as well resourced as possible to make sure I do the best for my Yr12 SD class in 2012. I have to make sure I understand the VCE IT033 study design theory, the theory of programming & how to use Visual Studio.



I have the following:

  *   'Software Development: Core Techniques and Principles' by Adrian Janson
  *   'Visual Basic.Net for Education 2010 Edition' by Adrian Janson (site licence)
     *   (we do the tasks in Adrian's workbook of activities with our yr11s, so I can't just repeat that in yr12)
  *   'Programming with Visual Basic Express' by Graeme Summers, Nelson Cengage
  *   vceit.com, VITTA website, Adrian's website, the various resources posted by this (wonderful) list

Any advice about other websites, courses or useful texts would be extremely helpful !!!
