Hi Adrian,
this all sounds so exciting- Our school switched to your text last year and we have benefited greatly- I think written by a teacher makes a lot of difference. This year I am not teaching SD and I think we would be interested. I don't know the numbers yet- will let you know ASAP
happy writing

Hi Maggie and all,
I will have a 2010 version of 'Visual Basic.Net for Education' available shortly. I also plan to bundle this with my SD text for a significant discount - which may be of interest to some? Again, if anyone is interested in my 2010 edition of 'Visual Basic.Net for Education', please email me and I will add you to my notify list for updates.
Cheers,
Adrian

Since database is forbidden in 2011, I will be looking forward to Adrian's new book and any other exercises that folks are producing (willing to share). So, yeah, a textbook and a VB.NET new edition.
Haven't decided yet whether to go with VB.NET or stay with PHP.

Just hoping people can recommend a good resource for Visual Basic
The students here now have 2010 Visual Basic.Net Express Edition installed
I'm after a book that contains simple but effective activities & exercises that students could use
We already use Adrian Janson's VB manual along with the Home & Learn manual
But I'm after something with small and discrete activities explaining different features of the software
At present I end up writing my own exercise
